IP India connection
The IP India e-Register shows the live status of an application, but it asks for a one-time password (OTP) every time someone signs in. Yatri Trade can use an e-Register session that a person in your firm opens with that OTP.
Connecting
- Go to Settings and open IP India connection.
- Enter your firm's email address or a 10-digit mobile number.
- Choose Send OTP. Yatri Trade answers the e-Register's arithmetic question for you, and IP India sends the OTP to that email or phone.
- Type the OTP and choose Verify.
The connection lasts about 30 minutes. The page shows when it expires.
Using the connection
While connected, choose Refresh live from e-Register in Portfolio. Yatri Trade looks up each of your marks and updates any status that has changed. The changes appear in Updates.
The refresh runs in the background, so you can leave the page. Portfolio shows how many marks have been checked, and you can choose Stop at any time.
Yatri Trade checks one mark every few seconds so that IP India does not block the look-ups. A large portfolio can take a while. When several firms refresh at once, they take turns, ten marks at a time, and Portfolio shows how many firms are ahead of you.
If the 30-minute sign-in ends before every mark is checked, the refresh pauses. Choose Sign in again, and it carries on from where it stopped.
Good to know
- IP India may limit how often an OTP can be requested. If the request is refused, wait a few minutes and try again.
- Yatri Trade does not store the OTP. When the session ends, connect again.
- Opposition cases do not need this connection. Their status comes from a public IP India page that Yatri Trade checks every week.
