The dates that decide an opposition

Once a mark is advertised, each side has a fixed time for each step, and missing most of them ends the case. Yatri Trade works out these dates for every case you handle, for both sides, and tells you when the other side has missed one.

Journal watch

Pick one or more journals and generate a search report. Each match shows the advertised mark, its owner and application number, your mark it conflicts with, and why it was flagged. Logos are compared by their picture as well as by any words in them.

  • Same class only, so the list stays short
  • The last date for opposition and the days left on every journal
  • Your own applications never show up as conflicts

Re: Application 6412987 for KULCHAWALA EXPRESS in class 30, advertised in Trade Marks Journal 2274

The mark shares the word part "kulcha" with your registered mark KULCHA KING in the same class. We recommend filing a notice of opposition before 24 Feb 2027.

Before you trust it with a client

A watch tool is only useful if you know what it checks and what it leaves to you.

Built on the Registry's own records

The journal, the notices printed at the back of it, the oppositions register and the hearing boards. Every match names the journal it came from.

Clear about what it matches

You see the reason for every match, and the documentation lists the exact rules, including the limits: a different drawing of the same idea is not found, and related goods in other classes are left to your judgment.

Your firm's data stays with your firm

Each firm has its own workspace and its own logins. Public records are shared; your portfolio, cases, letters and reports are not.

A tool for your practice

Yatri Trade is software for the firm. It does not file anything, contact anyone on your behalf or give legal advice.

Questions firms ask

Something else? Write to us or read the documentation.

Where does the data come from?

From records IP India publishes: the weekly Trade Marks Journal and the Registry notices printed in it, the oppositions register, the public hearing boards, and e-Register data. Yatri Trade does not file anything with the Registry. Check important dates against the Registry before you act on them.

Will it find every conflict?

It finds marks in the same class that share a word or a word part, sound alike, are at least 80% alike overall, or have a similar logo picture. It does not find a different drawing of the same idea, such as two different lions, and it does not judge whether goods are related across classes. Those still need a trademark attorney. The full matching rules are in the documentation.

Will we drown in false matches?

Common words such as "private", "limited", "india", "logo" and "device" are ignored, and so are short endings that thousands of words share, such as "tion". Each match shows why it was flagged, so a match can be dismissed in a few seconds.

Can other firms see our portfolio?

No. Each firm works in its own workspace. Public records such as journals and the oppositions register are shared by everyone. Your portfolio, cases, letters and reports are visible only to your firm.

We already keep everything in Excel. How do we move?

Enter your agent codes and your applications are found for you. Upload your existing client sheet for the rest.

Can we use our own letterhead and formats?

Yes. Upload your Word templates for recommendation letters and TM-O drafts, and Yatri Trade fills in the marks, dates and parties.

How does billing work?

Every firm starts with a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. After that you pay monthly or yearly by UPI, card, net banking or bank transfer, and receive a GST invoice. Nothing is debited automatically; you get a reminder before your plan ends.
